POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 2/28/19

Tyus Jones, MIN at IND
FanDuel = $5,300
DraftKings = $4,500

Jones made his second consecutive start Wednesday against the Hawks with Jeff Teague (knee) still sidelined. Across the two games that Teague has missed, Jones has averaged 11.5 points, 9.5 assists and 2.5 steals while logging at least 31 minutes in both contests. This is a tough matchup against the Pacers, but if Teague can’t play again, Jones should receive enough minutes to provide value.

D.J. Augustin, ORL vs. GS
FanDuel = $4,800
DraftKings = $4,500

Don’t sleep on Augustin. He has a secure role as the Magic’s starting point guard and could see a few extra minutes with backup Isaiah Briscoe (concussion) not expected to play Thursday. Augustin has already averaged 10.5 points, four rebounds and seven assists across his last six games and gets a favorable matchup here against the Warriors, who play at the 10th-fastest pace (101.9 possessions per game) in the league.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 2/28/19

Terrence Ross, ORL vs. GS
FanDuel = $5,300
DraftKings = $5,100

Ross couldn’t get anything going against the Knicks on Tuesday with just three points across 20 minutes. However, he did attempt 10 shots. He was hot heading into that contest by averaging 19.8 points across his previous eight games. The Magic are going to need him to score in bunches if they are going to keep up with the high-scoring Warriors, so look for Ross to have a productive bounce-back performance.

Wesley Matthews, IND vs. MIN
FanDuel = $4,600
DraftKings = $4,500

Matthews kept things rolling, offensively, with 20 points and four three-pointers against the Mavericks on Wednesday. He’s now averaged 18 points across his last four games and looks to be a key part of the Pacers’ offense down the stretch. His other contributions leave a lot to be desired, but this is still a great spot to deploy him against a Timberwolves team that has allowed an average of 119.4 points across their last eight games.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 2/28/19

Bojan Bogdanovic, IND vs. MIN
FanDuel = $6,000
DraftKings = $5,400

Speaking of players on an offensive tear for the Pacers, Bogdanovic has averaged 21.8 points across his last 12 games. He attempted 15.8 shots a game during that stretch, which is up significantly from his season average of 12.4 attempts per contest. Even with Matthews in the fold, the loss of Victor Oladipo (knee) puts a significant portion of the offense squarely on the shoulders of Bogdanovic. He’s not the bargain that Matthews is, but he’s still priced low enough to provide value.

Jae Crowder, UTA at DEN
FanDuel = $5,000
DraftKings = $4,200

Crowder remains one of the most important, and consistently productive, reserves for the Jazz. Even though he’s shooting an unsightly 38.5 percent from the field over his last 10 games, that hasn’t stopped him from averaging 12.4 points and 3.1 three-pointers during that stretch. Don’t count on him for many assists, but with his ability to also contribute on the boards, he checks in as another viable option at small forward to consider.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 2/28/19

Bam Adebayo, MIA at HOU
FanDuel = $4,800
DraftKings = $4,000

The key with Adebayo is the status of Hassan Whiteside (hip), who was unable to play Wednesday against the Warriors. Adebayo started in his place and scored 11 points to go along with 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks. That should come as no surprise since he’s averaged 12 points, 8.7 rebounds, three assists and 1.4 blocks over seven starts this season. If Whiteside is out, lock Adebayo into your lineup.

Jonah Bolden, PHI at OKC
FanDuel = $3,900
DraftKings = $4,000

The Sixers are in trouble up front. Joel Embiid (knee) remains out and now Boban Marjanovic (knee) joins him on the shelf. That leaves Bolden and Amir Johnson as their main options at center. Johnson hasn’t even taken the floor in 10 of their last 11 games, so expect Bolden to receive the bulk of the playing time. Over the only three games in which Bolden has logged at least 20 minutes this season, he’s averaged 7.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and two blocks. His price is great on DraftKings, but he’s especially appealing at near the minimum price on FanDuel.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 2/28/19

Mitchell Robinson, NY vs. CLE
FanDuel = $7,400
DraftKings = $6,400

The cheap center options on Thursday are not very good if you are playing on FanDuel. I’d recommend paying up at the position. Robinson isn’t cheap, but he won’t exactly kill your budget, either. After averaging 16 points, 14 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 5.5 blocks across the last two games with DeAndre Jordan (ankle) out, Robinson is a prime target with Jordan once again unable to play.

Ante Zizic, CLE at NY
FanDuel = $4,300
DraftKings = $4,200

If you want to take a chance on a cheap center, Zizic might be the one to roll the dice on. Tristan Thompson (foot) isn’t ready to return, which will leave Zizic with an expanded role despite Kevin Love being back with the team. Even with Love healthy, Zizic has averaged 12.3 points and 7.7 rebounds across the last three games. The Knicks don’t have much talent at center outside of Robinson, so Zizic might be able to take advantage of this matchup.
